GOOD MORNING KUYA TV SHOW in UNTV 37 (Philippines)
This is to give comment/review on the tv program i just saw today at around 8:30 a.m. It is entitled: “Good Morning Kuya” of UNTV 37 in the Philippines. I saw it on Channel 99 of Destiny Cable, a Philippine cable provider. The reception was somehow unclear, oh what an unsatisfactory service by Destiny Cable for failing to send a clear signal of UNTV 37 through its Channel 99 channel.
Anyway, I was eating my breakfast and scanning TV Shows when I came accross the said morning show, I saw a dog all dressed in a nice cloth dancing the “tinikling”, a simple dance step taught in school; I enjoyed watching it. I thought that morning show was as simple as that, it’s the first time I saw it, I usually watched ABS-CBS TV and GMA TV shows, the common popular tv networks here in the Philippines. To my amazement, that show has more than entertainment because what touched me is that they have a portion, which if I recall it right, is called: “Munting Pangarap” where a woman 6th month pregnant was granted care and help. The show gave her a small cart where she can sell “Mami”, a local chinese dish noodles, which she can sell on the streets. The lady said she needed help because she wanted to help out also her husband who is selling “Buko” (a coconut fruit) on the street in order to survive their day to day living and support the needs of their schooling children. Oh, it shows how hard really to live in this whole wide world. Anyway, I didn’t notice my eyes is already focus on that show because the host Mr. Daniel Razon whom I saw many years back as a prominent personality from either ABS-CBN TV or GMA TV, I cannot recall anymore, is here making a mark on that “Good Morning Kuya” morning show. In that show, Mr. Razon visited a booth located inside the studio where a doctor (if I am not mistaken, he is Dr. Bien?) and one lady dentist or doctor? I cannot recall, all providing FREE Medical & Dental Check-up Services to the guest inside the studio. This show seems entertaining and very helpful to others.
I learned they just started their show July 23, 2007 and I was late in tuning in since it was about to end by 9:00 a.m. Well, it started my day right and I have that light feeling for knowing that there is that one morning show which in its own little way tries to entertain viewers and at the same time give a helping hand to the less fortunate people. I hope that this kind of TV format spread all over the world.
